Sim, SUPP leaders inspect road project
KUCHING: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party
(SUPP) president Senator Datuk Dr. Sim
Kui Hian yesterday went to inspect a road project namely Jalan Datuk
Amar Stephen Yong link.
Sim was accompanied by Padawan Municipal
Council (MPP) chief Lo Khere Chiang, Public Work Department (JKR) Engineer, SUPP Batu Kawa Branch chairman, Tan Joo
Poi and some SUPP local leaders.
The road is under construction and will be completed within two years, they pointed out. The total
length of the road improvement into dual carriageway is six kilometres and total estimated cost is
RM42 million.
With the road improvement project, the
traffic lights are also to be upgraded for smooth flow of traffic in the area
and also to prevent traffic jam.
