Lo Khere Chiang’s billboards and banners destroyed
KUCHING: Billboards and banners at Mile10
featuring Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Kitang candidate Lo Khere
Chiang were damaged or destroyed by people the night before yesterday.
SUPP’s Tnay Li Ping, the Operation Director
of Batu Kitang constituency, yesterday called for a fair fight among all the
candidates.
She said destroying posters and billboards
is not going to solve any problem but instead will give a negative impression
on Sarawakians.
In any election, she said, the people have
the right to choose the candidate they want but by going down to being petty is
not helping matters.
She said the trend is worrisome and will
give a bad impression to the younger generations.
“Instead of destroying the materials, we
should show the younger generations that we can develop and build, working
towards a better Sarawak by fighting for our autonomy,” said Li Ping.
