Give Adenan five more years to develop the state

SRI AMAN: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has lauded the committment to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem to lead Sarawak to greater heights.

He pointed out Adenan had implemented 53 policies during the two years he led the state thus the people should continue supporting him  for him to bring more development to the state in the next five years.

Zahid said this in his speech during the Leaders-Meet-The-People session held at Linchang Longhouse, Entawa Undop, here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Zahid advised Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates to truly understand the needs of the people in providing their best services once elected.

This is vital to prevent any accusation from the people classifying BN leaders being similar to those opposition leaders which are known to only make their appearance during election season.

“Do not act like one of them, they (opposition) only know to howl here and there in order to gain support,” he said.

As such, BN leaders should work hard for the people without even waiting for the next election.

Zahid also announced a grant worth RM300,000 for the construction of a new community hall at Linchang Longhouse, Entawa Undop. Also present were, Minister of Resource Planning and Environment II Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasasn, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs II, Masir Kujat, Assistant Minister of Rural Development and Housing, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.
