Nazri: Vote Barisam so the chinese can be represented in decision making process.

Nazri with candidate for Padawan, Lo Khere Chiang at the ceremah at Mile 10  Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz called to the Chinese in Sarawak to vote in the Chinese Barsian Nasional (BN) candidates so that they could be part of the decision making on policy progress.

Speaking after attending a ceramah at the Padawan Mile 10 open space with Batu Kitang candidate, Lo Khere Chiang, Nazri said there is concern about the lack of Chinese representative in the State Legislative council.

“All the other races are in the cabinet except the Chinese.  It is important that the Chinese be represented too. The opposition has 15 seats but with all their shouting, we are not listening to them,” he said.

Nazri urged the Batu Kitang voters to give Lo a chance as he is a decent bloke. He said Batu Kitang being a new seat has a high chance of BN candidate winning.

DAP Abdul Aziz Isa, PKR Voon Shiak Ni and two independent joined in the fray for the Batu Kitang seat.

Urging the Chinese community to think first for their own benefits, he said they should made a right choice this time and not to let go the opportunity as the Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem is all for the Chinese in the cabinet.

Being a tourist Minister, Nazri said he is all for Lo’s plan to tap tourism in Padawan area. He added that they will soon let the Chinese tourists from the People’s Republic of China to enter Malaysia without any need for visitor visa soon.

On Sarawak itself, he said it is indeed a beautiful place and a modal state of harmony for all races for other states to emulate. “There is great racial harmony in Sarawak and I must face the fact there are some in my own party who had made uncalled for sensitive remarks. We must, he added, learn from Sarawak on this.
