KUCHING: Sarawakians should stand together
for their rights as stated in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA 1963), said
Barisan Nasional-Sarawak United People’s Party (BN-SUPP) Batu Kitang candidate
Lo Khere Chiang last Thursday.
Lo stressed that Sarawakians’ rights and
privileges in the MA 1963 should not continue to be eroded.
“If we do not talk, fight and negotiate for
our rights, our history will be lost. We must stand strong together and not get
bullied by those from the Peninsular (Malaysia),” he said during his rally held
at 4th Mile Commercial Centre here Thursday night.
Lo added that all Sarawakians had the
responsibility to ensure that the future generations of Sarawakians would
continue to know their rights too.
He pointed out all Sarawakians wanted the best for the State and
also for the future generations.
“That is why, this 11th State Election is
important as it will determine the future of all of us in Sarawak.
“We must protect Sarawak. We must
unite to defend our rights and
privileges,” he stressed.
More than 100 people attended the rally.
