KUCHING: Transactions with Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) are now easier and more convenient with the opening of its Customer Service Centre (CSC).

Located at the ground floor of MPP headquarters at Kota Padawan, 10th Mile, the CSC has 15 counters offering various services like payment of utility bills (water and electricity).

MPP chairman Lo Khere Chiang, who is also Batu Kitang assemblyman, officiated at its soft opening yesterday.

Present at the ceremony were MPP deputy chairman Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim, secretary Andrew Jores Noyen and councillors.

According to a statement distributed to the media, the setting-up of CSC is to enable customers to deal with the council under one roof and to reduce the number of complaints on services provided by the council.

“With the setting-up of CSC, the council hopes to give satisfaction to MPP customers and the public,” it said, adding that with the CSC, the council hopes to continuously improve its services.
The counters are open from 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
