Public urged to help paralysed man and family: Lo Khere Chiang

KUCHING : A hit-and-run accident victim is in dire need of help. Lobo bin Dawi, 35,  is paralysed from the waist down.

Life is difficult for his wife, Aliya bte Abdullah,36,   and their
three children who are between one year old and 11 years old.

As Lobo was the sole bread winner of the family, his wife now has to sell food items to earn a living. Their youngest child still needs milk powder and pampers.

The family is too poor to even own a house and is currently staying with  Lobo’s siblings at Stampin.

Lobo is also saddled with a hospital bill of RM450 and is dependent on public help.

State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang, after hearing about their plight,
visited Lobo and his family recently.

He gave a personal donation of RM500 and  hoped that the Sarawak General Hospital could  waive   the RM450 that Lobo owed as the family could barely make ends meet.

Lo also hoped that Hope Place, a charitable organisation here, could help Lobo and his family with their monthly food requirements. He also called on  kind members of the public to give assistance to the family  in cash and kind.

Currently, Lo is assisting Lobo to apply for welfare aid. Due to his condition, Lobo cannot afford a proper mattress and he is suffering from bad bedsores due to hours of laying down on  a worn out mattress.
