KUCHING : Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Lo
Khere Chiang has praised the Taman Flora
residents for their teamwork in taking care of their beautiful community
garden.
‘With initiatives from the constituents, we
are able to have a garden within a distance from their residences.
“And it is indeed a joy this Christmas
season to bring the residents together to mingle and get to know one another,”
he added while speaking at the Christmas Potluck Gathering here yesterday.
Lo said although the community organised
the Christmas gathering at their own initiative, Padawan Municipal Council supported the event by providing the
canopies, chairs and tables.
To the Christmas Potluck Gathering,
everybody brought a dish each.
Lo asked all present to remember their
neighbours at this time of year, especially the elderly and those who lived
alone.
“As a community, we must stay close-knit
and support each other,” he added.
