KUCHING: Sarawak United Peoples’ party
(SUPP) Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) chief, Wilfred Yap was recently
approached by a man surnamed Chong, living at
Lorong 1, Jalan Batu Kawa here who requested for his assistance to
request Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) to cut and clear an uprooted tree which
got entangled in telephone cables caused by a recent storm.
Chong said the tree would have fallen onto
the road but got entangled in telephone cables.
“If the tree were to fall onto the road or
the telephone pole were to break, it would cause great inconvenience to
residents in the area.
Yesterday Yap and an officer from MPP
Landscape Division went to the location to check what can be done to solve the
problem.
The tree had since been cut down and
cleared and Wilfred Yap would like to thank MPP Chairman Lo Khere Chiang's team for their swift action.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is always
ready to lend a helping hand to anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not
know how to deal with it.
Anyone requiring assistance can always call
SUPP Public Complaint’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082-246999 or go direct
to SUPP Head Office to request for assistance.
