Site Inspection by YB Lo Khere Chiang With MPP Councillor Shirley Pui

Location: Taman Sri Permai

The estate area in Taman Sri Permai had increased flooding by overwhelming clogged drains filled with mud and dirt, witnessed according to my site inspections and observations.

Our flash flooding, where heavy rain overwhelms sewers, are already the most frequent type of flooding. Flood risk is expected to rise as our climate change is expected with more intense rainstorms.

Considerations in proposing the area to be included in our Flood Mitigation Projects are in the pipeline. In carrying out flood mitigation measures, there is a need to consider both the structural and non-structural measures that must be implemented under the short and long term development programmes.

Upon site area visit, there are also potholes and jammed drainage inlets.
Padawan Municipal Council will do our very best in solving these residents concerns.

Thank you so much for the input by Mr Jee, Mr Chan and Mr Murin, Residents of the area. Together we can build a better Batu Kitang.
