KUCHING: Barisan Nasional candidate for Stampin parliamentary seat, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian yesterday said it was unfair for people to hold him responsible for past leaders’ mistakes. “Yes, I do apologise for the mistakes of the past leader but I cannot be responsible for their mistakes. “On May 9, please vote for me.
Everyone can see my past records on what have I done in Batu Kawa as a State Assemblyman,” he
added in his speech during the opening ceremony of Breakthrough WeCare Fest 4.0 at ACS Building
(Ecumenical Worship Centre) at Jalan Stampin here.
A total of 74 stalls participated in the fest, selling local food, drinks and other things. Sim pointed out that WeCare Fest 4.0 was something that people could do to help the less fortunate. “Not everyone is born blessed and lucky, therefore it’s time for us to make a difference to the poor, weak and marginalised people around us,” he said.
