KUCHING: The Malay villages in Bandar Kuching will not be neglected as they have been around in the constituency for more than 50 years.
Barisan Nasional candidate for Bandar Kuching Kho Teck Wan pointed this out, saying that under her election manifesto, there will be programmes for interfaith programmes to empower interfaith relations.
“It is vital to ensure harmony and the Muslim community will continue to have good relations with other religions.
“I will also emulate Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian’s mobile clinic where we will provide home healthcare service especially to senior citizens and those who have difficulties in going to hospital.
“I also would like to stress that it is important for voters of Bandar Kuching to realise what we have (missed out) over the years and give BN the chance to lead in order to catch up with development,” she said,  after visiting the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Padungan operations room Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Padungan PBB chief Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, in her speech, said it is timely for Bandar Kuching voters to give chance for BN to do what is needed for the constituency.
“Much has been neglected under the opposition and our BN candidate Kho, who came from a humble family background, has the credibility to lead and prove that BN is indeed the only best option for this constituency,” she added.
