KUCHING: The 4×4 Padawan International OFF-Roaders Challenge 2017 organising committee recently paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya.

The visiting delegation was headed by Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang, who is also the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman, event chairman Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim and Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

The 4×4 Padawan International OFF-Roaders Challenge 2017 event, which MPP is organising for the second time following the success of the inaugural event in 2015, will be held from July 21–23 at Bengoh Resettlement Scheme (BRS) in Padawan.

Abang Johari is expected to officiate at this year’s event. About 60 teams are expected to participate, including those from Brunei and Indonesia as well as teams from Sabah, Sibu and Miri.
