KUCHING: Abdul Aziz Isa, the special assistant to Chong Chieng Jen, and Batu Kitang State Assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang inspected a section of Kung Phin Road which has partially collapsed due to poor foundation, yesterday afternoon.
Aziz said he visited the spot after being informed by the residents and spoken to Lo, who is also
Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman, regarding the matter.
Lo told him that MPP was doing its best to repair the damaged road as soon as possible.
“I was told that the road will be closed temporarily and repair works will take some time to complete. Thus, after speaking with Lo, we advise the public to be careful and not to use this road at the moment.
“At the same time, I would like to urge MPP to repair damaged roads under its jurisdiction as well as build more roads using international standard,” said Aziz.
