WITH regard to the 53 principles and
actions made before the last state election, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan
Sri Haji Adenan Satem was pleased to inform that all had been implemented
except for a few.
“They include several items under the
devolution of power and Petronas commitment, which I have explained earlier are
still at various levels of negotiation with the federal government and
Petronas.
“These principles and actions are not just
empty promises but sincere efforts by the Barisan Nasional (BN) government to
safeguard the interest of the people as well as to lighten the burden of the
people.
“It is obvious that the people have
benefited from the various initiatives that are being implemented,” added
Adenan when delivering his winding-up speech at the State Legislative Assembly
sitting in Kuching yesterday.
