Development for Kampung Sinar Budi Lama

It takes effort and funding in improving the quality of life and economic well-being of people living in relatively isolated and sparsely populated areas. For Kampung Sinar Budi Lama, the Padawan Municipal Council had kick started the Rural Transformation Program approved by the Sarawak Chief Minister’s Office in Kampung Sinar Budi Lama on 18th Jan 2016, said Padawan Municipal Chairman, Lo Khere Chiang.

Padawan Municipal Council, he added, was assigned RM 2 million to carry out this Rural Transformation Program in areas of Batu Kawa and Batu Kitang.

Re-roofing works, ceiling and perimeter fencing are being done at the Kampung Masjid at the cost of near Rm90,0000 till date. New pathways and roads costing near Rm100,000 are also in the midst of progression under this program in the Kampung.

The targeted date of completion is 17 May 2016.

Lo said that it’ll cost Rm30-40 Million to solve major drainage problems. Although now it’s not possible due to the budget constraints, but MPP is trying to do small improvements projects within the Kampung to make life better for the area’s citizens.

“This project in Kampung Sinar Budi Lama is supported by Padawan Municipal Council’s Executive Engineer, Mohd Hazwan Othman and Technical Assistant, Fauziah Bt Adam. And lastly Padawan Municipal Council wants to say Thank You to K.K Hamidion B. Bustamam of Kampung Sinar Budi Lama for consistently working with the council to ensure smooth progression of improved developments”, he added.
