Property seekers to be spoilt for choice at Sheda roadshow

The three-day event, which kicked off on Friday, features more than 70 booths showcasing properties in Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
“This is an important event as it provides potential house-buyers the chance to obtain a wide selection of services and promotions,” said Padawan Municipal Council chairman Lo Khere Chiang at the official launch yesterday.
He also acknowledged that the housing sector was a basic commodity for the people and as such, it played a vital role in bolstering the state’s economy.
On another note, he also pushed for collaboration between Sheda and MPP in taking advantage of the promising market in Padawan.
“There are always people who want to own homes — be they of low or high-cost types,” said Lo.
At the ceremony, Sheda Kuching presented donations worth over RM16,000 were also presented to three non-governmental organisations (NGOs), namely Kuching Life Care Society, Mental Health Organisation of Sarawak and Sarawak Society for the Deaf.
Additionally, Regal International Group — a Sheda member — also took the opportunity to contribute funds to the three NGOs as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Members of the public are also invited to visit the booths at the roadshow run by the three NGOs, as they are providing free health checks as well as selling crafts from 10am to 9pm today.
Sheda president Joseph Wong Kee Liong, Sheda Kuching chairman Dr Christopher Ngui, Sheda Kuching secretary George Ting and the event’s organising chairman Dr Richard Tan Yoke Seng were also present to witness the launch.
