LO: FACILITIES AT SEVEN VILLAGES UPGRADED



A total of  RM2.1 million had been spent by the MPP over the last five years to upgrade the facilities, which included concrete walkways, public toilets, carparks and a tourist information centre , said Chairman of MPP, Lo Khere Chiang while handing over keys and letters to village heads yesterday.
He said the council has been constructing infrastructure facilities along Sungai Semadang to facilitate tourism-related activities in the area. All these facilities will also enhance the living standard of the people at Annah Rais, Bengoh, Temurang, Danu, Giam Baru, Giam Lama and Kampung Git.
The facilities were handed over to the local community for them to take care of it and hoped that it will make money from Tourism income for them, said Lo.
Besides these, the MPP also upgraded all the concrete walkways and ramps of the villagers and two villages were also equipped with public toilets and carparks are Kampung Danu and Kampung Git.
