Apart from that, the Rajah Charles Brooke Memorial Hospital has recently been awarded the Notification of Preservation for Historical Buildings under the Sarawak Cultural Heritage Ordinance 1993. This serves as a notice that it is now to be listed as a local heritage site. Therefore, it is also critical to look at it as a potential tourism boost for Sarawak and having its location marked within the tourism calendar as part of the Heritage Trail of Padawan.
What was expected to be a straightforward historical presentation ended up being filled with much laughter and jests, such was the warmth received from our host. We would like to thank Dato Lim Kian Hock from Sarawak Tourism Federation, Mr Ipoi Datan and Pn Dyg Morzanah from the Jabatan Muzium Sarawak, Mr Rangen from Pejabat Daerah Kecil Padawan, and Mr Jong from Kuching District Office for spending their precious time with us. May this be our second step towards success.... cross all your toes for us!
