There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women. The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description. And lastly, when women participate in the economy, everyone benefits!
While some women stand nose pressed against the glass ceiling, many working mothers never get near it. Most women take career break to handle family responsibilities, they choose to either “lean in” or “opt out” after having children, while some women manage to do both.
Personally I felt that this program is unique and innovative for the ladies in my constituency, don't all women love to look well groomed and pretty? Not only such program impart skills on personal grooming, it also brings out the confidence level in every unique individuals. Self esteem is very important for a woman, that's the beauty of them.
Such activities also provides opportunities for women to share insights, support other women, and influence each other on diversity topics. I believe that diversity leverages the unique experiences and perspectives of all, allowing us to look at problems from multiple angles. Studies have found that when more women sit at the decision making tables, better decisions are made and everyone is left better off. Thus, it certainly does not hurt allowing the ladies to be pampered a little. I hope this Grooming Workshops will continue in my constituency, impacting more women to build up their self esteem and stay happy!
