KUCHING: Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Lo
Khere Chiang yesterday handed over laptops and HP printers to 16 sub branches of Batu Kitang PBB Women at the Padawan
Municipal Council here.
He said besides the laptops and
printers, basic professional
training would be given to each member so that they could have access to
modern technology and do their work
faster. This, he added, was one way of empowering women.
Women, said Lo, made up a big part of
today’s workforce and they were as
capable, if not better, than the men.
The recipients were from Kpg Haji Baki, Kpg
Landeh, Kpg Sebuak, Kpg Paya Mebi, Kpg Betong, RPR Landeh, Kpg Sinar Baru, Kpg
Batu Kitang, Kpg Batu Kitang Jaya, Kpg Lidah Tanah, Kpg Bumbok, Kpg Tematu, Kpg
Sandong and Kpg Bunga Rampai.
