KUCHING: State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang,
Lo Khere Chiang thanked the volunteers at the Community Based Rehabilitation
Centre (CBRC) at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here for inviting him to the Mooncake
Festival celebration.
He thanked Irene Yong, Tan Hun Seang and
all CBRC committee members, participants and parents for organising this
meaningful event celebrating Mid Autumn Festival together as a big family of
CBRC.
“It’s a touching achievement for each of
them and definitely a huge encouragement for all who participate. I applaud
CBRC for today and we shall strive on to keep activities ongoing, giving the
group of lovely learners a platform and a chance to achieve every little
milestone in the society.
Guiding them, helping them, showering them
with endless love and attention. To me, all of you are special, special in a
lovely way. I’m truly touched by every single one of you,” Lo said.
Lo added that with such festival organised,
it gave the CBRC trainees or inmates a sense of belonging and that they were
not forgotten during such time.
