“I will look into the matter when I come back,” he said in a text message yesterday, adding he would be back on Tuesday.
A road divider in Kota Sentosa bazaar was recently demolished by residents who deemed it an obstruction to traffic flow.
Their act was strongly condemned by SUPP Kota Sentosa Youth chairman Wilfred Yap.
Yap, who is also a PMC councillor, said it was wrong for the residents to take the law into their own hands, adding those who encouraged them were equally guilty.
Yap claimed Batu Kawah assemblywoman Christina Chiew was also present when the demolition took place. He claimed she just stood there and watch.
The act also caught the attention of SUPP Youth chief Tan Kai, who remarked that in this day and age, such ‘savage and uncivilised action’ was unacceptable.
