KUCHING: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP)
has kept its promise to help clean up the rubbish near the waste collection
site opposite Emart Matang here yesterday.
MPP chairman Lo Khere Chiang said upon
hearing about the complaint on Sunday, Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd staff
immediately visited the scene yesterday to clean the area.
“The Emart waste collection site has been
cleaned by Trienekens,” he told The Borneo Post.
A reader using the pseudonym ‘A concerned
citizen’ had highlighted the issue through ‘Letters to the Editor’ that
overloaded and scattered rubbish at the waste collection site was a usual
sight, with the situation worsening during festive seasons.
