Intercultural mooncake festival back again

Members of the public are welcome to the festival from 6pm to 11pm daily.
There are also art and cultural performances every evening.
Apart from food and drink stalls, there are also stalls selling souvenirs and other items at the festival sites.
The festival, held at the historic area of Kuching gives Kuchingites an opportunity to celebrate the traditional Chinese event with all races to foster understanding and integration.
Tourists are also attracted to the festival which is organised by The Federation of Community Association of Kuching Division.
It has the support of the Ministry of Tourism to promote unity in diversity through ‘sight, sound and taste’.
The organising chairman Dato Sim Swee Yong, co-organising chairpersons Sim Kiang Chiok and Amy Tnay and Padawan Municipal Council chairman Lo Khere Chiang were among those present at the opening ceremony on Tuesday evening.
