E-invoicing seminar this April 13 at SUPP Batu Kitang service centre

KUCHING (April 4): A seminar on e-invoicing will be held this April 13 at the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Kitang service centre, from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
The seminar, organised by the SUPP Batu Kitang Mile 3 sub-branch Youth section, aims to equip businesses and individuals with essential knowledge to adapt to the digital transformation of invoicing.
“This seminar is designed to help business owners, accountants, and professionals understand the benefits and implementation of e-invoicing,” Batu Kitang assemblyman Dato Lo Khere Chiang told a press conference here yesterday.
He said Train-The-Trainer (TTT)-certified speaker James Bong has been invited to provide insights into the fundamentals of e-invoicing; the transition to digital invoicing; compliance and legal aspects; as well as practical applications and case studies.
“Since Jan 1 this year, e-invoicing has been mandatory for taxpayers with an annual turnover between RM25 million and RM100 million. From July 1, the requirement will extend to businesses with an annual turnover between RM500,000 and RM25 million.
“By Jan 1, 2026, all remaining taxpayers with an annual turnover up to RM500,000 must comply. It is therefore crucial for businesses to ensure compliance and leverage the benefits of e-invoicing effectively,” said Lo.
The seminar, sponsored by Lya Group, is free of charge.
Organising chairman Jordan Hu told the press conference that participation is limited to a maximum of two individuals per company in order to allow broader industry engagement.
“With only 60 available slots, over 30 participants have already registered,” he said.
