A BUDGET THAT IS NOT ATTRACTIVE, SAID MPP CHAIRMAN, LO KHERE CHIANG

Lo Khere Chiang

State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang who is also MPP Chairman considered Budget 2019 as a stable to moderate GDP and economic numbers but felt that the Federal government Fiscal revenue has been represented as a tight one.
Expressing dismay that Sarawak has not much benefit from the Budget, Lo pointed out that there is not much done to boost the national development which is not good for the country’s economy.
Sarawak contributed 30 percent of the total oil and gas revenue for Malaysia and in this Budget, they failed us again. This goes to show how much the new Government leave Sarawak aside after all the talks of giving back Sarawak’s rights.
He pointed out that there is a budget for Khazanah Nasional Bhd to develop aerial space industry and there was no mention of the amount.
Lo believed that dabbling with aerial space  industrial could go into billions of ringgit. He said he failed to understand that the new government claimed the country owes so much debts and have limited funds for Sarawak despite taking so  much of our oil and gas. I find it such a wastage and if there is no money, PH government should not be playing with aeroplanes, he added.
