RM46 million were allocated to more than 240 projects in Padawan Municipal Council last year


KUCHING: RM46 million were allocated to more than 240 projects in Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) area last year and this year MPP has approved the provision of RM13.3 million for 41 projects.
“I am very happy to say that we are moving ahead again. We now have approved the provision of RM13.3 million for 41 projects which have been approved and being implemented,” said Chairman of MPP, Ir Lo Khere Chiang to reporters after MPP full council meeting here yesterday.
Lo, who is also Batu Kitang State Assemblyman added that the council has been reaching its key performance indicator (KPI) by delivering projects to the people.
He also revealed that MPP has received a letter from the Chief Minister commending the council for its street lighting project under phase 1 which has been done and urging the council to continue with the project along Jalan Landeh up to Kampung Betong.
The names of the villages along 4KM include Kampung Paya Mebi, Kampung Sebuak, Kampung Datuk Landeh and Kampung Betong.
“I would like to personally thank the Chief Minister for his concern and for looking after Batu Kitang constituency,” said Lo.
He disclosed that the council has instructed SESCO to carry out the project as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Lo informed that the flood mitigation project for Jalan Burung Lilin and Jalan Dogan costing about RM3 million would continue this year.
He added that there was another flood mitigation project costing RM3.43 million along Jalan Datuk Tawi Sli which would be implemented by JKR (Jabatan Kerja Raya).
“I would like to inform the Batu Kitang residents that these projects have been planned and will materialise this year,” emphasised Lo.

Personal Makeup Workshop conducted by N13 Batu Kitang Community Center


This Personal Makeup Workshop conducted by N13 Batu Kitang Community Center is to promote unity and harmony among the constituency ladies and also to empower the woman of Batu Kitang with proper basic knowledge of Self Grooming. 
Our 1st Makeup Workshop in Batu Kitang, last year in Kpg Semeba was for 50 Kpg ladies as well. 
Now with this community space in N13 Pusat Khidmat, I want to bring the constituency closer and also fill their lives with more positive and empowering community activities.
Through our workshops in N13 Batu Kitang Community Center, we want to stimulate more discussions, create awareness and impact the lives of our constituents as a community, as a big family. And to engage our large and growing population in Batu Kitang through community advocacy, empowerment activities and civic engagements. 
Besides makeup empowers a woman to present herself in exactly the way she chooses. She is the one deciding, which contributes to her self-esteem, makeup is a confidence builder.
Makeup doesn’t just transform you on the outside. It transforms you from within, filling you with a sense of empowerment and strength, and that’s a beautiful thing. 
We hope to conduct more workshops and have consistent positive activities in the near future. A community space like this is a very useful way to engage people of all levels of capability. 
Community Center are common space for people of all races to come together, build friendships and promote social bonding and importantly, it connects the constituents and myself.
I hope to see more constituents coming forward to participate in our community Center Workshops and activities. 
Don’t be shy, just let loose, relax, enjoy the workshops and engage with your fellow community friends.
